Clean Cities and GM to announce arrival of first biofuels station in the region.
WHAT: The City’s first alternative fuels station is now open at Center City Shell Station located at 12th and Vine Streets. It is the only station in the region to offer E85 (ethanol) and B20 (biodiesel) along with conventional gasoline and diesel. Bringing these fuels to Philadelphia will help increase energy security, improve air quality, and provide local economic gains.
A press conference will be held at the station, to officially announce the arrival of the new fuels. Immediately following the press conference, 75 flexible-fuel vehicles from General Motors will parade through the station and fill up on E85, an environmentally-friendly fuel.
